A Word from our Worshipful Master
Hello and welcome to our Website,
I was initiated into Freemasonry in Elkington Lodge just over 5 years ago, so it is a tremendous honour for me to find myself installed as its Master. Credit for this has to go to that small but dedicated 'Band of Brothers' who have mentored and encouraged me every step of the way, and to the members of the Lodge who have seen fit to place their trust in me, for this, Elkington's 144th year.
The previous occupants of our Master's Chair have benefited from greater experience than mine and have continued to set very high standards, and, it is my aim to build on this by encouraging the more junior members to develop and follow me through the progressive offices leading to the Mastership, as well as welcoming new and joining members.
I shall continue to build-up the social side of our activities, and plan to arrange a number of evenings where wives, fiancees, girlfriends, family members and friends can join us to dine after our regular Lodge meetings. Anyone who is interested in joining Freemasonry would be especially welcome to join us, so please do not hesitate to contact us for more information.
We shall, of course, continue to support a number of Masonic and non-Masonic Charities, so I would like to take this opportunity to thank the brethren for their generous support in the past, and to remind them that they may approach either myself or our Charity Steward if they would like to nominate any particular worthy cause, for our support.
Finally, it must be acknowledged that the continued success of Elkington Lodge is not least attributed to the support we have had from the Province of Warwickshire, and the many visitors who join us at our meetings, and dine with us afterwards - I can assure you of the warmest fraternal welcome at all times.
Yours fraternally,
Alan Reeves.
Worshipful Master 2007/2008
